Dalton City Rentals
Dalton City began as the picturesque movie set from the 1991 Disney Film White Fang, with a wooden boardwalk connecting faux-Gold Rush-era storefronts. The set was donated to the Fair and moved to the fairgrounds from the banks of the Chilkat River. Improved over the years by tenants and the Fair, Dalton City is a tourist attraction in its own right, and is home to The Haines Brewing Company, The Klondike Restaurant, Dalton City Yarn Emporium, The Golden Mouse Art House, Shtumpa (a design and print shop), Borealis Beads, Williwaw Publishing, and three massage therapy studios.
Storefront and studio space in Dalton City is currently full. Contact us to be added to the waiting list, and for rates and policies. Preference may be given to applicants who will maintain an active storefront with regular business hours.
White Fang Boulevard
This lively “street,” surrounded by the faux old-West buildings of Dalton City, is an atmospheric venue for events and weddings. It is the site of the Great Alaska Craft Beer and Home Brew Festival; the annual Fishermen’s Free King Salmon Barbecue, and other Fair events. Contact us for availability and rates.
Indoor winter storage for vehicles and boats is available Nov. 1 through April 15. Rates are $3.50 per square foot (length X width X $3.50).
The Main Stage venue for entertainment during the annual four day Fair, Paysons Pavilion features a full stage and covered audience area available for rent for concerts or events. The pavilion is home to the Haines Farmers Market on select summer weekends (2012 schedule TBA). Contact us for details.
